ENERGY CENTRES / CHAKRAS
ROOT CHAKRA
This is the first chakra, called the root or base chakra, which resides at the base of your spine.
The colour is red. It is known as the seat of the life force. It is the powerhouse that provides
the cosmic energy to drive the other psychic centres and to ground our energies back into our bodies.
This chakra represents our survival instinct, security and well-being.
SACRAL CHAKRA
The second chakra is located two inches below the navel. The colour is orange. It is the seat of
intuition and psychic sensitivity. This is the energy of our sexuality, relationships, emotions and
creativity.
Clairsentience is the psychic
sense of the second chakra, it is our feeling centre.
SOLAR PLEXUS CHAKRA
The third chakra resides in the solar plexus, just above the navel and below the ribcage. The colour
is yellow. Its energy relates personal power and self-esteem.
HEART CHAKRA
The fourth chakra is found between your shoulder blades, in the centre of your chest. The colour is
green. This energy is associated with affection, love and partnerships. Here the higher spiritual
elements of compassion are felt, and the desire to serve people. Its energy provides the impetus to
spiritual development.
THROAT CHAKRA
The fifth chakra is found in your throat. The colour is blue. It is the centre of creative
expression and verbal communication. When developed, the throat chakra is used for
clairaudience. It also works with the heart
centre for trance work. In physical mediumship, ectoplasm builds over this centre to produce direct
voice phenomena.
THIRD EYE CHAKRA
This, the sixth chakra, is found just above your eyebrows in the middle of your forehead. The colour
is indigo. It is the seat of
clairvoyance, all
the imagery and pictures are received here.
CROWN CHAKRA
The seventh energy centre is located at the very top of your head. The colour is violet. This centre is the
doorway or our link to the higher of infinite source. The crown centre is the most spiritual of the
chakras when developed. It can be used to influence all the other centres and bring the highest
of spiritual truths and wisdom to all sensitive work.
